Christmas Traditions

Shamelessly stolen from Degolar.

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

I like them both, so it depends on whether I want a cold drink or a hot one.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

Wrapped, usually. If they make it under the tree, that is.

3. Colored or white lights on tree/house?

Depends. This year colored, but we've used white before.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

Why? I'll kiss at random times anyway.

5. When do you put your decorations up?

As late as I can manage around Lummox's enthusiasm.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

Only one? Mom's potato rolls. Mmmmm. . .

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?

Christmas undies. A fine family tradition. One that made my sister-in-law blush bright red when she received her first pair.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

What truth is that?

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

Provided I haven't opened it long before and I have more than one, yes.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?

We have masses of personalized ornaments (gifts throughout the years) but the generic look we theme. It's either blue and silver or burgandy and silver. This year we went with blue.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?

It's quite pretty, so long as I don't have to drive in it. So, dread, I suppose.

12. Can you ice skate?

I can barely walk and chew gum.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

I don't think I have a single favorite, but I remember a number of special ones.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?

Getting through them with minimal stress.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?

Pink pie. No, seriously, my mom makes a peppermint pie that we've all dubbed pink pie. It just sounds wrong to say that I love my mother's pink pie.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?

Running around frantically from family to family, all of which want us to spend more time with them. Oh, wait, that said favorite, not least favorite.

17. What tops your tree?

A star, but my favorite topper was a silver snowflake. It was too heavy, though, and it tarnished rather badly.

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?

Giving, honestly. It's nice to get something, but it's more fun to watch people get things.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?

Greensleeves.

What?

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or yummy?

Enh. I like mint, but I'm not nuts over candy canes.

21. Favorite Christmas Movie?

Scrooged or A Christmas Story.

22. Tinsel or no tinsel (icicles)?

I'd like it, but I'm afraid the cats would eat it.

23. Do you like to go caroling?

No.

24. Do you like to sleep in or get up early on Christmas morning?

I always like to sleep in. Always.

25. Do you leave cookies and milk for Santa?

No. I eat them myself.

Of course I stole it from the Blue Pamphlet.
